- Updated support for Simplepie and TinyMCE WYSIWYG editing
- “When you’re editing files in the theme and plugin editors it remembers your location and takes you back to that line after you save. (Thank goodness!!!)” Thank goodness indeed!!!!!!

Adding a Blog to an Existing Website
More companies, small business owners and artists are turning to blogs to connect with their clients/audiences. Many already have websites and would like their blogs seamlessly integrated into their already existing websites. This is generally the better option over having their website visitors go to a different website where the blog is being hosted or click on a blog that looks nothing like the site they currently have up.
Having an integrated blog looks more professional and provides the website visitor a unified experience of the website.
Why add a blog to a website?
- Every blog entry is a chance to create a conversation with your audience/clients.
- The blog is a chance to share your expertise with the world.
- Search engines love blogs.
- It gives people a chance to get a sense of the personality and culture of a company.
Things to consider
- Is your content compelling? Do you have enough content to sustain a blog?
- Are you ready for what it takes to maintain a blog? Consider content updates, getting on a regular schedule.
- If you already update your content using a content management system (CMS) that you want to continue using, check if that CMS has a blog feature/program that comes with the system.
- If it doesn’t have a CMS and would like to use the blog CMS so that you can do all your updates in one place, you can use something like WordPress (as this site does), Joomla or Droople.
If you have any questions about setting up a blog in your website feel free to contact us.
